Everyone! There was a very big and irritating mix up with Australia Post concerning the makoharu prizes! Everything was sent in a mass order and I’m not exactly sure what went wrong until it was returned to sender to my old house (much later). Everything has been collected and I’ll have to send individually to make sure it doesn’t happen again. All records have been saved, as well as addresses. Now that I’ve got a computer again I will get on top of it quickly, APOLOGIES!!!!!!!!!!!!. Going to get a few little extra things to go in with the parcels for the mix up.
"Prompt - Actually my only stipulation from that Kdrama is that sometimes there are times when Haru stays over to hold Mako’s hand while he sleeps so the ghosts won’t follow him in his dreams… ^_^ (And, well, that Rei the bodyguard has a crush on Mako and his boss Haru doesn’t like it.)"
Only See Me
"Here you are, Makoto-senpai," the bodyguard said as he put down a slice of chocolate cake and a cup of tea.
Makoto’s eyes widened in surprise. “Rei! You didn’t have to.”
Rei straightened his back and smiled proudly. “I discovered that chocolate was a favorite of yours, so I figure it would cheer you up. It’s from the finest bakery in the city and made with the most delicious chocolate. I am confident that you will enjoy it immensely.”
Over Time as It Races By
He wondered how he must’ve looked, for Makoto to have made that face. Through soft black lines, between stray strands of his hair that covered his face, Haruka saw how Makoto had a hand clutched at his chest. Shoulders hunched, he curled into himself. He’s scared.
"Aren’t you coming to swim club practice, Haru-chan?" he asked.
Haruka didn’t reply. He turned away, burying his face between his arms.
"Then, are you going to go home?"
It wasn’t what Makoto wanted to ask, Haruka knew. Even without having to look at him, Haruka knew.Makoto would have a sad smile tugging at his lips. Always patient, even when he didn’t have to be. Even when his hands trembled at his sides, when his fingers worried the hem of his gakuran.
‘What’s wrong? Why won’t you talk to me?’
Makoto’s thoughts carried through, and he could imagine how it must’ve hurt: chest heavy, his heart beating loud.
"You don’t have to wait for me." It surprised him, what he said. "I won’t go, either."
Haruka turned to look ― really look at his best friend. His stomach churned, finding Makoto’s eyes crinkled in a smile.
"I’ll stay with Haru-chan."
Those who have sent in their address will be sorted into their batches tomorrow and the posting will start the following day. <3
If you were a first, second, or runner up and haven’t sent in your address please mail firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, username you used for the fest, and full address. Thanks!

"This is a bad idea."
"It’ll be over soon, Haru. It’s just a quick meet-up to get information."
"Still a bad idea," he mutters, crossing his arms and looking through the car window towards the bar across the street. "Why do you need to go alone?"
"Well I can’t just bring someone new in. I’ve been working to gain their trust."
Makoto smiles, reaching over the seat to take Haru’s hand into his. Haru shoots him a look but doesn’t let go, instead rubbing circles into his palm absentmindedly.
The two are undercover cops. They’ve been in numerous cases before, working to infiltrate gangs and sneak information. Makoto’s not quite sure if he remembers how they even began; he just knows that it was initially his idea and that Haru had stubbornly decided to do it with him.
Because you’re going to make stupid mistakes, is what Haru had said.
Because I need to protect you, is what Makoto had heard.
All writers are encouraged to post on external sites (especially ao3) and can repost if they like. All entries will stay up, even after Haru’s bday event and next fest :)
